Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Meeting

Description:
Understanding and Negotiating the ISDA from a Corporate Practitioner's Point of View

As trials in the credit markets continue, understanding and managing counterparty risk remains an important task of Treasury. More and more banks are requiring companies to enter into ISDA agreements to maintain foreign exchange hedging relationships, and these agreements can often take months to negotiate. The Silicon Valley Treasury Management Association and the Peninsula Treasury Management Association are pleased to offer a highly informative, hands on webex-enabled seminar on Understanding and Negotiating the ISDA agreement. Presenter Joel Laub, a partner with Jones Day (New York office) has over 20 years' experience negotiating ISDA contracts from both the bank and corporate perspective and is recognized as an expert in the field. His valuable insights will provide you with a strong understanding of the construction and parameters of the agreement, and his practical advice and commentary will make you better equipped to put an ISDA agreement in place for your company.
